What is Micro income?
Micro income is a gig marketplace for hiring freelancers in India. You can order a ready-made gig service, ask a freelancer for a custom offer, post a project and compare proposals, or send a hire offer straight to a freelancer whose work you like.
How is my payment protected?
Every order is paid from your Deposit Wallet and the money is held by Micro income while the work is in progress. The freelancer is paid only after you accept the delivery. If the order is cancelled, the full amount goes back to your Deposit Wallet.
What if I am not happy with the delivery?
Ask for a revision, up to the number of revisions included in the package or offer. If you still cannot agree, either side can open a dispute. Our team reviews the order, its messages and files, and decides whether to pay the freelancer, refund you, or let the order continue.
When do I get my money back?
The full amount returns to your Deposit Wallet when the freelancer cancels an order they have not delivered, when you cancel an order whose delivery date has passed, when a freelancer declines your hire offer, when you withdraw it before they answer, when it expires unanswered, or when our team settles a dispute with a refund.
Are the freelancers verified?
Freelancers must pass a KYC identity check before a gig can be submitted, and our team reviews every gig before it goes live. The Hire Freelancers directory lists only KYC-verified freelancers who have published work in their portfolio.
What does it cost?
Joining and browsing are free. Employers pay the price shown on the gig, custom offer, proposal or hire offer. When an order is completed, Micro income keeps a service commission from the amount released to the freelancer. Any deposit or withdrawal charge is shown before you confirm.
How do freelancers get paid?
When the employer accepts the delivery, the order amount minus the commission is added to the freelancer's Earnings Wallet. From there it can be withdrawn to a verified bank account once the minimum withdrawal amount is reached.
Can I sell my own services?
Yes. Create a freelancer account, complete KYC, then publish gigs with your own packages, prices, delivery times and revisions. Add a profile with your skills and past projects so employers can find and hire you directly.
